Max
(Guin/Logan 11/05)
We
could not be happier with our German Shepherd we bought from
Camelot Shepherd's. He has become a solid member of our family.
My husband works away from home sometimes months at a time and
Max has grown to become my constant companion and family
protector. Camelot Shepherd's was very kind and helpful when we
went to pick out Max. Even after we brought Max home if I ever
had a question about anything they were very helpful and have
stayed in touch. Max is a gorgeous dog.
Everyone
we meet remarks on how beautiful he is and what a great
temperament he
has. I would recommend Camelot Shepherds to
anyone who wants a healthy, well-bred German Shepherd. They are
the best!
Update: 5/13/09
We are doing well. Max has grown into a beautiful shepherd. He is a very
important part of our family. He has the perfect temperament and we all
love him dearly. he is such a wonderful dog and such an important member
of our family. We all love him very much. Here are a couple of updated
pictures.

King
(Guin/Logan 11/05)

King belongs to the Bracken's, he is pictured here with his little
friend Mickey. this is what they have to say about him.
They had a special
birthday for him. "WE LOVE HIM....... He
has a friend over to spend the night for his birthday... We have a
special treat for him for his birthday and he
also got some new toys.... Its almost like he knows... He is ssooo
smart..." King is quite the traveling man as you
can see from the pictures below.

Gretchen
(Guin/Logan 11/05)

I could not be happier with my German Shepherd I bought from Camelot
Shepherds. She has become my constant companion and hunting buddy.
She is a great deer tracker and loves to go every where I go. She
has become an important and priceless part of my life. I love her
and would recommend Camelot Shepherds to anyone who want to buy a well
bred and highly intelligent German Shepherd. Angie was very
helpful when I bought Gretchen and has been helpful after I had Gretchen
at home and had any questions.
Samson
(Guin/Logan 11/05)
Dear Angie,
I remember looking through the classified ads 1 year ago for a dog
(mostly for protection and company) and found Samson. A dog is a
dog- right? Wrong!! I know every owner thinks that their dog is
special but mine really is! He was house broken in 1 week.
He also understands between 15 and 20 commands. Most of all, he
has become my best friend. When I'm sick he won't leave my side.
In short, he asks for so little, yet gives so much in return.
We've truly been blessed to have him as a member of our household.
Thanks Angie!!
Very Truly,
Mark, Joe and Samson Manion
KOVATCH
(Guin/Bear )
Hey
Angie!
Here are some pictures of Kovatch,
he is doing great! He hates to be hot though...its funny...he
cant stand sleeping on blankets or going outside when its really
hot. He likes chasing the cat and playing with my daughter...she
loves him. I had the plumber in the house the other day and he
wanted to buy him from me..."I
said no way!" He said I'll give you $200 for him...I almost
cussed him, I just told him that I would never sell him in the
first place but the offer was way to cheap for a dog like this.
Then the house alarm guy came and couldn't stop talking about
how awesome he was...then one of my neighbors asked if I had
anymore like him...its crazy I tell you! I am worried about
someone trying to steal him! He is beautiful..enjoy the pics...ang
LUCIUS
(Nissa/Max)

Angie,
I finally got my cord for my camera to download the
pictures to the laptop. Lucius' first week has been
excellent. He is doing well, enjoying his new family,
and loves his daily walks on our 20 acres. He has
figured out that the spring we have on the land is a
great source of nice,
cold water. LOL He has made a couple new friends with
the guys doing construction on our new home. I could not
be happier with this little guy. He is eating well, and
doing fantastic so far. I will keep you up to date.
Thanks again.

MAX
(Nissa/Max)
Well,
it's official, Max is the smartest, most loving GSD in the
whole world! At least we think so! Let's see he knows his
name, No, Sit, Come, Daddy, Bird, Piper, MJ, and Kitty! He
has almost got Fetch and Leave It too! I almost forgot, he
knows Bird to. He is so smart, when ever he hears a sound
he looks around and then at me, I tell him what the sound
is, like Monday morning, Bird, and you can truly see him
process this information in his head! Today when we went
outside, he heard Birds, looked at me and I said Bird, and
he started looking in the trees!
Sharp at a
tack I tell you! As for loving, yesterday evening he and I
sat on the porch while Brent (Daddy) cut the grass. He
wasn't worried about the lawn mower at all. We played for
awhile and then he just lay down right beside me and looked
around for about 20 minutes straight! When he would hear
something, he looks at me and I tell him what the sound is,
like airplane, rooster, another dog barking, I ask him if he
heard that doggie, car, just outside sounds. I am not
joking Angie, he really looks at me deep in my eyes as if he
is trying to process what I say.
I just
can't tell you how happy we are with him. You should hear
Brent on the phone with his friends bragging on his
pedigree, the other GSDs temperament when we came up and of
course, how he is going to be just like his amazing Dad, Max
Sr. (I kinda hope we don't get a CD, he'd have me watching
it all the time) He is one proud Papa. Well I will try to
get some photos in for you soon, Lee, Max's Mom!
Anna
(Nissa/Max)
We spoke with and looked
online at several breeders and none can compare with Camelot
Shepherds. The family atmosphere, sound sensitizing and all
around caring for the puppies cannot be beat. We are so happy
with Anna. She is smart, friendly, outgoing, has beautiful
markings and at the very young age of 3 months is always alert
for anything out of the ordinary. She is very fast and agile,
no clumsiness that you sometimes have in puppies. Angie is and
has been there for us if we have any questions and tries her
best to help out in any way. Thank you Angie!
Howard and Kathy Dawson
Update: 2/8/10
We have had Anna almost 3
years now and I cannot begin to tell you how much pleasure she
has given us. She is so smart and loves to help with the work
outside, such as gathering firewood, pulling weeds, digging
holes etc. When we pull weeds, she pulls weeds, when we did a
hole for planting, she helps dig the hole, she always wants to
help. Howard was putting up a fence and she would bring him the
posts, not only did she bring them; she put them in a pile. He
could not believe it! Guess she had watched him stack
firewood. They learn quickly by watching.
She
is very friendly with people and other animals, but when the
need arises she is ready to protect. She has had no formal
protection training. German Shepherds are so smart sometimes it
is almost uncanny. We have a granddaughter that is on the
Autistic spectrum, but high functioning, that lives in another
state so we don’t see her very often. The granddaughter had
come to spend some time with us, at the time Anna was about a
year and one half old. A man knocked on our door, my husband
and I was in other parts of the house, our granddaughter went to
open the door. Anna ran to the door and when the door was
opened Anna jumped in between our granddaughter and the man,
with a low growl and teeth showing she put the man further back
away from our granddaughter. Anna was definitely ready to
protect if the need arose. Howard had gotten to the door in
time to see what was happening. Anna would not leave our
granddaughters side. If she went into a room and closed the
door, Anna would lie at the door and not move until she came
out. Wherever our granddaughter was, Anna was.
Sometimes we go for a walk in
the park. She is always alert and watching when people are
around, if we speak to a person, she relaxes and her body
language changes. She is also fantastic at tracking you down.
We can go outside and hide anywhere and she will track us down.
Howard has gotten in a tree and she still finds him. I could go
on and on, but you get the idea. She is amazing in so many ways
and we love her dearly. I am so thankful we found Camelot
Shepherds.
Angie takes every precaution
in the breeding to see that her dogs produce sound puppies, both
mentally and physically. I really like the fact that she has mom
and puppies in her home and are exposed to lots of different
things. She is not only a wonderful, caring breeder; she has
become a friend as well. She is always there for any questions
that arises and will do all she can to help you. Angie’s dogs
make wonderful family companions. I would never go to anywhere
else, but Camelot Shepherds. I am looking forward to another
puppy I will be getting from Camelot Shepherds in a few weeks.
Thank you Angie.
Kathy and Howard Dawson
Del
(Nissa/Max)

Hey Angie,
Here are some pictures that I took today. Del is doing great! He
has a great prey drive (much to Jon’s dismay!!)
Just
kidding, they have quite a game going. Jon will take off running
and Del will take off in a second looking for him and when he finds
him, Del lunges and grabs his shorts and won’t let go. The neat
thing is Del knows when it’s a game and when it’s not. It’s great
and they love it and he’s showing a good nose for tracking as well
and is learning basic commands. He went to get his 3rd
shots today and he’s 22 ½ pounds now. He looks like he’ll be a
great dog! We’re all sure having fun with him!
Debbie
Libby
(Nissa/Max)

Hi Angie,
Libby is sure a little rascal, she
has so much more energy than any other pup we have had.....probably
because she is healthy and happy...we are enjoying her and she and
our other dog have bonded very well. She is having some confusion
over her name right now and responds best to 'little shit' rather
than Libby. I will get a photo to you when I get round to
it...she has grown so much, the vet was very pleased with her. She
is very smart but also very opinionated. She loves her toys, she
behaves herself at the barn and knows her boundaries. She is very
respectful around the horses and has a natural curiosity....will
send a picture soon...Pam

Bear
(Guin/Bear)
Angie,
We recently
purchased Bear from you. He is amazing. He is smarter than any
other dog I have ever known and he is only 5 months old. He has a
great disposition and temperament. He is also a gorgeous dog. He
is very much part of the family. He wants to be wherever we are.
If we are in the shower, he will lay on the bathroom floor. If we
are going outside, he has to go with us. He
makes us smile even when we have had a horrible day. I know that
there is always a hug waiting for each of us when we get home. He
has to hug (literally) every member of the family when we get home.
He is very easy to train. He was very easy to house train. He is a
wonderful dog.
The Roberts Family

Maximus
(Guin/Bear)
Hmmm..
Where do we begin? I got Maximus on April 23, 2007 just as
a surprise for my husband who has always wanted a dog of his
own. I think he thought that it would just be something to play
with and take care of.. Boy was he WRONG! Maximus is so much
more than just a dog. He is just like a real little boy to both
of us. He understands everything we say to him (sometimes he
just chooses not to listen). He is so INCREDIBLY smart. It is
like nothing we could have imagined. I have had dogs before, but
WOW what a
difference a well breed German Shepherd makes compared to any
other dog. He is a constant companion, a pick me up on a bad
day, a protector, a best friend, and a good bed buddy. Angie has
been so helpful and informative with absolutely every aspect of
our adventure with Maximus. She has been not only a teacher to
us, but a best friend. I would recommend anyone that wants a
German Shepherd buy only from Camelot. There are a lot of
websites and breeders out there that claim to be a family based
kennel, but with Angie all of the dogs and puppies are in her
home, not locked up in a basement, a room, or a kennel. They
have their own bedroom, a "puppy room" that is the symbol of
family and makes it clearly evident to anyone that she
(Angie) not only knows what she is doing, but for the time your
puppy is in her care, that puppy is her family. Thank you so
much for giving us our "little boy, Maximus" from your family to
ours, he is a permanent part of the Donnahoo family now!

Tristan
(Phoenix/Logan)
Angie,
I just don't know where to begin
to tell you how wonderful my Tristan is. I think I am in love
with my dog! From the first time I saw the little fella at 4
weeks of age and he marched right up to me, sat down and looked
straight into my eyes, I was hooked. I could not even look at
another puppy. As you know, I was looking for a really nice male
shepherd for a personal protection, competition and possible
breeding dog. Already, Tristan has proven himself to be
everything I have every wanted in a male shepherd. He is
definitely a once in a lifetime dog. He is gorgeous (I always
receive compliments when I take him out), intelligent, loyal,
brave and HUGE (90 lbs at 9 months of age). If he gets any
bigger I am going to have to keep him in the barn with my
horses. His temperament is rock solid - he's affectionate
and playful with me, confident and friendly with the
general public (including children); but woe to any bad guys. He
is very protective of me and my home. You just can't beat
his attitude - last week he earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen
designation and then just a few days ago he passed his first
puppy protection initiation with flying colors. A well-rounded
dog like Tristan is a tribute to your good breeding and early
socialization programs. I am excited about Tristan's future and
know that he will succeed at whatever I ask of him. Keep your
fingers crossed for us because I plan on competing for his
Family Obedience title with Service Dogs of America next month.
Stephanie Culberson
Artemis
(Nissa/Dierk)
He is getting big at our last vet visit he was 65lbs. We
graduated basic obedience and are working on strengthening our
skills while we await another evaluation of my son. Art, might
not be attending school with my son, as his behavior there is
significantly different then when he is at home or out in
public. I begin a tracking class with him in the fall, we are
starting training now by playing hid and seek with Rueben. Even
though he is a puppy, he really has been as lifeline for me. I
find that I am not as worry about things anymore.
Thank you sooo much I cannot begin to tell you what an angel you
have given to our family. He even takes good pictures.
Michelle Sluss Artemis is being trained as a
companion for Rueben who is autistic, he is a Nissa/Dierk puppy
from the fall 2007 litter. Artemis is Nissa's second therapy
dog, we believe she has found her calling in life.
Marlee
(Guin/Ace)
Hi Angie!
Marlee
is doing fantastic! I'm telling you this is the smartest dog I've ever
had. She sits, stays, comes, lays down, shakes, speaks on command, and
fetches her toys. She heals on lead and is learning very fast off lead
to just be six months. Her favorite toy is her frisby and a tennis ball.
Her ball drive is amazing. She LOVES the water. I took her out on the
lake for the fourth of July and she even loved the fireworks. She would
watch them and the loud noises
did not scare her at all. I took her out last weekend for a day on the
lake and she learned to jump from the dock to catch her ball in the
water. She stays outside during the day while I'm at work but as soon as
I get home she's right with me. She sleeps on the bed with me at night
and also keeps my mom company when nobody is home. I have two indoor
cats, one is just a kitten and they all play together. Marlee's best
friend is a beagle / blue heeler mix. Marlee has been to many little
league baseball games, the local feed store, Lows, the river, Pet Smart,
the tire place where I get my tires balanced and rotated, camping at
Dismals Canyon, and even to my work. However, I am sad to say that my
other shepherd passed away in May after emergency surgery. I am so
thankful for Marlee because she has been such a blessing in my life! I
don't know what I would do with out her! I hope you enjoy the pictures I
have attached. Hope all is well and Marlee sends kisses!
Thanks!

quinn (Nissa/Dierk)
We
just wanted to let you
know how happy we are
with Quinn. He is now a
little over 8 months old
and 60-65lbs. Quinn is
an amazing dog, he
learns fast and is
loving and kind.
Everyone who meets
always comments on what
a great temprament he
has and how calm (for a
dog his age) he is. This
summer we took all four
of our dogs on an 8 hour
road trip to the beach.
We werent sure how a 7
month old
puppy was going to do on
such a long trip.Quinn
was a champ no drama
just rode calmly the
whole trip. At the beach
he was off leash for a
week, truly impressive
for such a young dog, We
never worried about him
running off or bothering
other people, his recall
is great. We thank you
soo much for bringing
Quinn in to our lives
we just LOVE HIM.
Thank
you,
Peter
And Sammi Butty
Update:
 Quinn
is doing great, he
is a big boy at
85-90lbs. Solid
temperament , loves
people and kids. He
is growing out of
his crazy puppy
stage. Enjoys his
daily walks and
runs, he responds
very well to
training and very
eager to please.

Lincoln
(Phoenix/Thorn 09/08)
Hey Angie-
You are very welcome. I would recommend anyone that I thought would be a good candidate for a GSD in your direction.
As for Lincoln…where do I start? There are so many great things to say about young Lincoln. He just turned 4 months and he weighs over 40 lbs, but he thinks he only weighs 5 lbs. He loves to be held like a baby and he is an affection-junkie. He’s pretty much 100% house trained and he already knows several (basic) commands. We just completed his 3rd class of obedience school and he is doing amazing. He is almost too smart for his own good.
If I had to sum up Lincoln I would say the following:
- Loyalty is abundant
- Intelligence is superior
- Temperament is cool, calm & collected
- Personality is curious, playful & lovable
- Overall he is the quintessential example of the “man’s best friend”. He’s more than I could’ve hoped for!!
Angie thanks so much for working with me throughout this process and answering any & all questions that I asked of you. You definitely held up your end of the deal and I am very thankful to have Lincoln as a part of my family. It’s hard for me to think about what it was like before I brought him home…now there’s never a dull moment.
Sincerely,
Gil
SAm (Nissa/Thorn 12/08)
Hi Angie,
Sam had his first vet visit today at exactly 8 weeks. He weighed in at 12.5 lbs and is solid as a rock. He can put a lot of pull on a leash for dog that size! He has definitely grown in both height and weight in the one week he has been home with us. He got his booster shot and goes back in a month for the next round. His size and personality impressed everyone in the large vet's office, including one of the assistants who has a Shepherd. "Big Feet" everyone mentioned, so we're not looking at a midget here!
We work a lot rubbing his feet and teeth and it obviously is paying off - good mannered puppy. No poop accidents at all in the house and only a couple of tinkles. Sometimes we mis-read his need to go and it's always our fault, regardless. He has "sit" mastered and we make him do it before attaching the leash to go out and before eating and watering (that was the vet's idea). It shows we are in control and he is one smart dog. "Drop" when he has things in his mouth, like pant legs, also works some of the time. We're also working on "come" with some success. The vet is very familiar with shepherds and that helps also. He said we will see remarkable growth in the next two months.
Sam gets up once per night on the average after about 6 hours. Likes his crate, as of yesterday, and goes in with no fuss. We could not be happier and truly think we have the right dog for us. Brian's comment about 'buy the dog, not the sex or color' was correct. Sam is still "scared" of some things outside but he's a little(?) puppy and will get more adventuresome we're sure. The vet would prefer not having him around other dogs until about 6 months to make sure full immunity is in his system. They checked his ID chip and it read perfectly.
We are happy owners and thank you again.
Best of luck to both you and Brian.
Steve & JoAnn Hart
Update:
Our son-in-law Jay from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department was in Lousiville, KY for a very large K9 conference this week so he took another couple of days off and drove down to see us and meet Sam before returning home. Since he's used to working with K9 dogs he worked with Sam a lot and said two things which we knew: 1) Sam is a BIG puppy with huge feet, and 2) his temperment is perfectly suited to us. Sam would not be a K9 candidate but is a great match for us. We told him that you plus good breeding were responsible for that. He said we obviously had a good breeder who cared. We knew that.
He said we needed to put more discipline in Sam's life and worked with Sam and us on that. What a difference an experienced dog handler makes!
Will keep up updated on our progress.
Update: 2/4/10 Things our GSD Breeder Never told us......
And that is......how attached these dogs become to their owners!
Every night about 7:30 Sam jumps on the couch and curls up at "his" end. About 1/2 hour later he gets up, circles (staying on the couch), and plops down (literally) with his leg draped over the leg of whoever is sitting on the other end of the couch. Then he starts inching his way over until is BIG, HEAVY head is resting on that person's lap or leg. Then he starts sleeping seriously, complete with mild snoring.
The last two days I've been working on some outdoor projects and Sam lays in the grass protecting me, completely alert. He takes his job seriously. He also visibly monitors all traffic up and down our short, gravel road. The neighbors look for him sitting in our driveway watching them drive bye.
We sure do love the big guy and I guess he knows it. He's really enjoying patrolling "his" 3 acres or so.Steve &Joanne Hart (and Sam)
Luger (Nissa/Thorn 12/08)
Luger is doing great. Let me tell you,
his drive has kicked in!! He is growing everyday, by the minute if you
ask me! He had his second vet visit a few days ago and they agree he
is a healthy, happy boy. 13.8lbs!! Already! We are having a little bit
of trouble with the house training but I'm confident he will catch on
soon. He will "sit" for us more often than not and has learned his
name. (When he's not being stubborn that is) ;) He is such a sweet
boy, I can't tell you how many times a day he makes us laugh. He does
this funny thing with his upper lip when he is playing and being
silly. It is HILARIOUS! I'm attaching a few pics from the first couple
days. I don't have one of all of us just yet.
Dana
Vesta (Phoenix/Dierk)
Vesta has made such a difference in our home and our daily lives. You have
a way with breeding such good dogs. I really couldn't ask for a more sweet,
playful, loving and all around fantastic dog - she's just perfect!
We had a 'trial' with a GSD mix rescue dog which only lasted two weeks.
During the time Caspar was with us, we discovered that Vesta is a very
dominant female. Even though she is 2 years younger than Caspar, she had
about 15 pounds on him because he had been in and out of shelters, etc.
Vesta ran circles around him and very quickly established who was the pack
leader between her and him. We had to give Caspar back to the rescue group
though because he went after our neighbors' 4 year old when she was visiting
us in the house. I am so proud of Vesta though. Vesta was in the house
with Jim and the 4 yr old and her 11 year old brother. I was coming in the
house with Caspar after having taken him outside for a potty break. When we
came in, Caspar saw the 4 yr old (who was standing still and only said 'Hi
Miss Linda' when she saw me) he put his hackles up, began growling and took
off running toward the little girl. Vesta immediately became aware of what
was happening and body slammed Caspar into a wall and held him with her
mouth on his neck until I could get to Caspar and get him to his kennel.
Vesta literally put herself between Caspar and the little girl. What a
great girl Vesta is!!!!
Thank you again for allowing us the pleasure of bringing Vesta into our
lives.
Linda
Bond
(Guin/Thorn 06/09)
Hi Angie--
Just a quick note to let you know that Bond is settling in just wonderfully. Of course, we think he is the smartest puppy--he already is barking at the door when he needs to go out--and he does his business straight away so he can get to the fun stuff of playing. When he is crated at night, he gives a few cries and out he goes with us. He leads the way back in the house at night--he doesn't mess around which we appreciate at 2AM. He hardly cries at all and settles right away at night.
After all the crazy licking by Tank on day one, they've become fast friends. Finley, the female, is tolerating him right now and is trying her hand at being the alpha with him--which we are not sure about. She tends to stand up over him and growl whenever he comes near her when she is laying down. Should we let this continue?
The cat has taken care of business with Bond. He gave Bond, literally, the one-two punch yesterday and they've respectfully moved around each other ever since.
He is a love, Angie and we can't thank you enough for picking the right little guy for us. The dedication you and Brian have for your dogs is impressive and it really boosted our confidence in what a great breeding line we were getting.
KathleenUpdate: 1/21/2010
Hi Angie!
Bond is doing great-honestly, he is everything we'd hoped for and more. He is just a loving, protective pleaser. He is in obedience classes and doing great. He is walking the leash like a pro--although he has retained his peculiar habit since puppyhood of 'talking' the entire time he is out with Lester, me or one of the kids. He just mewls and whines and 'talks'.
He is gorgeous--everywhere we go, people comment on his head size and coloring. At his six month check up he weighed in at 70lbs--but he is really lean and lanky--just tall--our vet just had us wean him down to two times a day with his feeding. He and the cat are finally getting along--more so the cat deciding Bond isn't so bad. We couldn't be happier with Bond--he's just a perfect fit to our family. He works hard in his classes, he's incredibly calm but always willing to play--always asking to go out and play with the other dogs. He sleeps with them now in their room and the three of them have established their pecking order and just go everywhere on the property together. Bond and Tank gather wood from the forest pretty much every day, dragging logs and trees into their ever growing pile.
I will send pictures--I have them, just have to download to the other computer.
Thanks so much for all your advice and for breeding such great dogs.
Kathleen
Savvy
(Nissa/Thorn 12/08)
Basic stats: nearly 50pds., the top of her head reaching about mid-thigh in a sit. Her markings are absolutely gorgeous; we get complements all the time on how beautiful she is.
Savvy’s training is going swimmingly. She can reliably: heel, sit, sit-stay (1min.), down, down-stay (3mins.), stand, come, and wait on command (our goal is to get her CGC by the end of the year--a goal that I’m positive she can achieve!).
Savvy's neighbourhood friends include two pugs (Leo and George), two shih'tzus (Angel and Gizmo), a greyhound mix (Red), and her two BFFs Frankie (a beagle) and Bradley (a terrier mix). She's plays with them several times a week, and Ethan (the boy who owns Frankie) often gets in on the fun. Savvy's first interaction with my nephew Darrell was just hilarious because Savvy took one look at Darrell (who is practically the exact same height, weight and energy level as Ethan) and instantly decided, "Yes, you will be a fine playmate--what game would you like to play?" Darrell's mother was thrilled, since Savvy and Darrell actually managed to wear one another out (a rare feat, considering Darrell is a humanoid Energizer bunny). Darrell invited Savvy to come over and play the following day; we could come too, but only if we brought Savvy. lol
She had her first encounter with a considerably younger pup at the dog park a few weeks ago. The 4-month yellow labrador desperately wanted to play with the bigger dogs, but all the other canines were ignoring her--until she approached Savvy. Katy (the pup) play bowed briefly before jumping all over Savvy, jubilantly nipping at her face and pushing her paws around (and even in!) Savvy’s mouth. Savvy took it all in stride! She played with Katy, but instinctively knew how to be gentle and patient with the smaller pup. I was so proud of her--that’s not something we taught her, that’s her sweet spirit! She also spent time with the toddlers in my family and she was equally gentle with them. 10-month-old Trinity pulled Savvy’s tail while Savvy was lounging on the living room carpet and Savvy responded by washing Trini’s face. I wish I’d had a camera to take a picture of Trini’s Savvy-slobber mohawk!
Jasper
(Kirby/Thorn 5/09)

Hi Angie!
We just wanted to send you a few new pics so you could see how much Jasper has grown and how handsome he is!
I am certain that he is the smartest dog in the world! He learns so fast! For weeks now he has been going to the door, whining, and pulling @ his leash when he needs to potty. When we go for walks he stops every few minutes to look around and make sure that we are all still together. We are all so pleased with him! We have been working with a trainer since the week we brought him home and he is doing great! Our trainer has a GSD from the same line that Kirby came from and she does shutzhund with him. She is VERY impressed with Jasper! We are incorporating shutzhund into his puppy training so that later I can do shutzhund with him. We would absolutely recommend Camelot Shepherds to anyone who is interested in purchasing a GSD, or any dog for that matter!

|
 Angie,
Here are some pictures of
Camelot's little girl (who isn't
so little). She weighs 35
pounds.
She attended her first obedience
class on Thursday and even
though she is the youngest in
the class, she is already well
ahead of the rest
of the dogs. The instructor had
Diane and Mattie demonstrate the
"look, focus and reward"
routine.
Our older dog and cat still want
to have little to do with her
even though she has worked hard
to gain their friendship. Our
neighbors have an 8+/- month old
dog that she has befriended, so
she does have a playmate. She
still doesn't know what to do
with the horses across the
street.
We searched the internet for
several weeks before we actually
placed a deposit on Gwen and
Thorn's litter. We couldn't be
happier with our choice.

Buddy
(Guin/Thorn 06/09)
Hi
Angie,
I
promised to send you pictures, and here they are! At 14 weeks, our
baby is 25.1 lbs and growing! Even though it’s only been a few
short weeks, we can’t remember what our lives (or shoes) were like
without him! Buddy is confident, independent, and sweet-natured all
at the same time
J
He already knows ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘here’, and ‘leave it’ – which we
use frequently, as you can imagine! He is quite the
adventurer;
he loves going fishing, camping, hiking, and to Aaron’s mama’s for
Sunday lunch, lol.
Thank you
so much for all of your help and understanding of our questions and
letting us camp out on your kitchen floor. We have received so many
compliments from people about how beautiful our puppy is, and we
keep directing them to you! We’re looking forward to training with
the club whenever this rain lets up and continuing with his
training. We are confident we made the right choice with Camelot
Shepherds!

Angie,
How are you? Hope all is well at Camelot Shepherds. Josie is doing
great-and she and Sam are best buddies, as you can see from the
pictures. They really love each other. She's been great for him and
she always makes him smile. She is very patient and loving with him and
will let him do whatever he wants to her.
He's either rolling on her, or she's slobbering on him-they're pretty
tight! Enjoy the pictures-Josie really looks like her Momma! More
soon.
Take Care,
Aaron
Kimber
(Phoneix/Thorn
10/09)
I
love my Kimber. And Jenna LOVES him to death. He is a really good dog
and listens to his commands well. I just LOVE his eyes. They are so
pretty. He loves to chew bones and go fetch the tennis ball. But, his
fave, fave thing to do is play basketball with us. He loves to tackle
and bite the basket ball. He's hilarious! He loves all this land we
have. So, I'm really glad we bought him. Toby loves having him around.
Usually hehe. They always sleep cuddle up when they nap outside. Well
talk to you soon.

She
is doing great. She is the sweetest thing and we are loving every
min. Her favorite thing is investigating. Beth has trained her to put
her ears up and listen then go to the front door when she says "what
was that?" :-) she is super cute.
She is 28lbs now and we just did round three of her shots on Tuesday.
Oh and she hates rain! She is such a baby sometimes.
Have a good day and I will get you more pics soon.

Cinder
is simply a JOY!! You did such a great job with potty
training-I have had only a few accidents, which are moslty
my fault for not getting him out at the right time.
Slept in the bed with us for the first few
nites, but then moved him to the crate-Crate time is so much
fun, a hand full of food and a chewie. Mostly sleeps thru
the nite, up around 5, whines and needs to potty.
I will send some pics, some are old-but will
take some new ones soon. His ears are standing up nicely,
going the opposite way, inwards.
Please tell me how his sisters are doing.
Very, very happy-can't wait to see what a beautiful boy he
turns out to be!!
OK will attach pics..... Tonya

want to say Thanks from the bottom of my heart,
she is always around me where ever I go always
at my side... She's very protective of me, the
kids are good with her but someone that she

Destro
(Felony/Thorn 11/09)
I received baby Destro (son of Thorn and Felony) on January the 28th when he was just 7 weeks old. I drove to Camelot Shepherds to pick him up and just couldn’t wait. When I finally got to see him in person as opposed to pictures that Angie would update regularly on the website, I immediately fell for him. He was so small and so adorable. Once I got him home on that Thursday we played for a while before nap time occurred. While he slept, I read through all of the thorough documentation that Angie had supplied to me…. AKC registration papers, training information, MicroChip Tag information, feeding, and vet information, etc… Angie did a great job preparing all of this and making it a very easy transition. Now if you remember, that weekend, we had a real good snow here in Chattanooga and it did make it kinda of hard for Destro to want to go outside so needless to say, I had just a few accidents in the house. But once the snow cleared, he was doing everything just right. Destro has been absolutely perfect ever since. He has not chewed on anything in the house except for a designated pair of slippers and all of his (50+) dog toys that he has begged me for. Lol. He has grown up beautifully. When I received him he was almost 8lbs at 7 weeks and now he is just a little over 19 weeks and right at 60 pounds. He
is just a big ‘ol teddy bear now and loves to sleep and sit with me everywhere I go. He pays very close attention to everything I do and listens extremely well. I have two cats also in the house, and as we are still goin through the process of getting them to play nice, he will eventually give in to them. Lol. But all in all, Destro is an absolutely wonderful Dog and I am so glad I got him. He is a big part of my life now, and will be for a very long time. And also want to say thanks to Angie, as anytime I had concerns or questions, she was just a phone call away and was a great help every time.
blitz
(Guin/Ace) Angie, I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for such a wonderful Shepherd. Blitz is so amazing in many ways. He is a great family pet, loves kids and loves his tennis balls but I know he would also protect us and our home if he feels threatened. Blitz has shown great protection work at the trainings with SDA. He will attack on command but when he's finished he just wants to be loved. Blitz is a natural at everything he does. I also want to thank you for always being there when I needed you during those tough puppy stages. The puppy ages were very difficult to get through but you were always a phone call away if I had any questions. You have great pups and we're looking forward to getting another one from you in the future. Thanks again for breeding such a wonderful German Shepherd!
The Johnson Family (Casey, Garry & Coy)
Leilah
(Addison/Brom April 10)
Angie,
I am really enjoying Leilah. The first day or so my wife commented that it's like having a newborn baby again. That was because of her nighttime whining. She didn't do it too much, just every couple of hours as expected. Now she sleeps calmly in the play yard we set up in our bedroom, as well as the large kennel in our main room. We can put her in either, and if she whines it's only for a few seconds. She let us sleep most of the night last night. She has really bonded with me, and my whole family loves her. I believe the reciprocal is true also. The first day she did not eat very much, but now has a voracious appetite. She still eats the kibble you gave me, but really likes chicken hearts, chicken breast, and gizzards,. She wolfed down a raw fillet of whiting half a hour ago. Now she doesn't wait until I put the bowl down until she starts eating. I'll need to work on her obedience in that area. She has a great temperament, but has started trying to chew on everything and tries to eat random things off the ground (clovers, grass, wood chips, dead bugs, broken toys, etc) which I am continually pulling her away from or removing from her mouth. She also like to chew her leash, which I stop. This is another area for training. She almost always waits to go pee outside now (after day one of accidents). She will only poop when my wife walks her. She's had no accidents of that sort inside, but I've also never seen her do it. Maybe there is a reason for that? My
wife and I are amazed at being able to watch her grow so much in just three days. I'll also try to add you on Facebook tomorrow evening. Have a good weekend.

Tilly
(Nissa/Thorn Aug 09)

Can't believe how many compliments I get on our dog, Tilly. Not only on her looks but her behavior and how good she is, especially at her age. (1 year b-day coming up) People with other shepherds are so jealous!!! One shepherd owner could not believe that my 3 year old kid could eat an ice cream right in fro...nt of the dog without getting attacked. Several people have asked what obediance school we've taken her to. (none!) We're down in Outer Banks for a few days and she is loving playing in the ocean and doing great with all the people and other dogs and commotion. Just wanted to share and thank you again.
Sahara
(Phoenix/Thorn 10/09)
 Hello Angie,
Thanks for checking in. Chaos, now named Sahara, has settled in quite well. We know it is a big change in no longer having a group of other dogs for company and comfort. We just got back from a week at the beach and she did very well. She made the 10 hour trip each way with no problems, although we did a little dramamine as a precaution. She was excellent off leash while we rode bicycles and walked the beach, and had the best time chasing crabs at night. We have attached a few pictures. She grabbed a shell off the beach and carried it back to the camper and onto the bed. After all that work we decided to let her keep it, at least until she decided it was edible, then it had to go. If you have found any baby pictures we would appreciate them. Thanks. Amanda
Amador
(Addison/Brom Apil 2010)
I thought I would send you pics of our sweet baby.
He is adorable, and has found a new game that seems
to be his favorite. He chases the water from the hose
around the yard and tries to attack the water. lol. He
really tries to get the water and bites at it while he's
barking away at it. He ends up soaked, but that's probably
more refreshing since it's so hot out. He only goes out to run
and potty, but that's because it's too hot to be out very long.
I'm sending you pics of him so you can see how he's growing and
enjoying his new life. Coco is adjusting great and he still wants to
play with the cat, but more of a predator type of play, so I am limiting
a lot of physical and unsupervised cat/dog contact. My kids are constantly
asking when his ears are going to stand up, and I have to keep telling them
when he gets a little older they will, right now he's a baby. My middle daughter is already
becoming more responsible since we have had him here, which is a Miracle
to me. She actually asks to take him out to potty and run with him in the yard.
I can't wait to begin training him, he has a strong drive and is determined to
get his way, but also listens.

felina
(Felony/Thorn 11/09)
 Hi Angie,
As for our last e-mail, I took your advice and kept letting Felina play with as many dogs as I could. She's been nipped and scared a few times, but she's become quite confident around other dogs. She's very friendly and will play with just about anything with four legs. She is great with kids. While she can play rough sometimes, it's mostly due to her size (nearly 45 lbs now), and not aggressiveness. She's really becoming quite a dog, and that's after just one basic puppy manners class. She's been complimented on how well behaved she is when I take her to friends' houses, and strangers on the street will stop me to ask about her and mention how beautiful she is. Hopefully the pictures come through ok. Matt
