My love of German Shepherds started when I was very
young. However, my dad was in the Navy and when we were called
overseas my German Shepherd (Max) could not go
with
us. I did not get another shepherd until later in life when I
found Lancelot. As you can see he is the
heart and soul of Camelot Shepherds. Sir Lancelot is 3 years old
and my constant companion. He is the
grandson of
Taco 'T Palmaleinehof who was imported from Belgium with a
Schutzhund III title at age two. He has three World Schutzhund champions
in his first (three) generations. Lance earned
his Family Obedience title as well as his Protection Alert title with Service dogs of America
this fall and is working on his advanced protection titles which he will
compete for in the spring of 2008.
Lancelot is the reason we decided to start breeding
shepherds. His story is one that will change the way you look at
this breed. I have a handicapped son, he had gone many years
without having any seizures, Lance had an uncanny bond with Chris from
the very beginning. Lance was only about 7 months old
when
he woke me early one morning, he was whining and pawing at my bedroom
door, I thought he wanted to go outside, I opened the door and he went
to Chris' door and whined and pawed at his door until I opened it.
Chris was having a seizure. Lance had picked up on the seizure
through two closed doors and
he
was only 7 months old. He woke me up again a couple of months
later, Chris was having another seizure. He has also woken us up
when Chris has had nose bleeds in his sleep. This is a dog that
was still a pup and at that point had not had any professional training.
This is what this breed is all about and this is WHY we breed German
Shepherds.
Is a Beautiful Large Boned Female, she weighs
about 85-90 pds. Guin is a very confident female, she is definitely the
alpha. She is very loving and is always enthusiastic to work. She will
be working on her Service Dog titles after this litter. She is
excellent with
children and has a solid temperament. She received her PennHIP certification in May of 2005 with a rating of good. She is the
daughter of Inka Vom Palmaleinehof, who is the daughter of
Taco 'T Palmaleinehof who was imported from Belgium with a Schutzhund III title
at age two. He has three
World Schutzhund champions in his first (three) generations, and has a
proven record of consistently throwing good, solid working pups. Her
Sire is
DAX von der Wilden
Rauberbande (OFA31GOFE31) who is from West German working
bloodlines. Dax is built very well with a strong head, excellent bone
structure and dark eyes. he is strong, highly intelligent, focused and
has courage without hesitation. His pedigree includes many top BSP and
LGA competitors. Guin earned her Family Obedience title as well as her
Protection Alert title this fall. She is expecting a litter in
January 2008. We plan for Guinevere to compete for her Protection
1 title in the Fall of 2008.
Nissa is our Love bug, she is a cross of working and
show lines. She has the drive of the working dog, but the sweat
gentle nature of the show line. Her mother is out of Pilgrims
Shepherds in Knoxville.
Quark Vom Enckhausen, OFA, CD,
SCHH, BH, Quark just won her Schutzhund BH.
Quark's pedigree includes names such as
Maja
Vom Fuchsgraben and
Ex
Hronovsky Pramen. Her father is out of Tacora Shepherds also from Knoxville.
Tin Man, He is a
Pilgrim's Toro Bravo Hickoryhill son.
Governor Bredesen also has a
Toro granddaughter.
Nissa had her
PennHip
certification, She scored an amazingly high score.
She rated in the 95th percentile for Shepherds, that means that her hips
are tighter than 95% of Shepherds tested. Nissa scored a .31 in both hips.
The equivalent OFA score would be an excellent!!! She has made a great addition to
our breeding stock.
Nissa is in
training with Service dogs of America and earned her Family
Obedience Title this fall.
Phoenix Vom Wellcross is our latest addition. Her
pedigree is impeccable with tremendously solid working lines. Her
sire is Jacovi's Maxwell Von Rettenwald, he has Schutzhund III titles
for 6 generations back. He just
earned his PD 1 with the first place ribbon for highest honors.
Her Dam is Laci Vom Vrandenburgh who is a
Taco 'T Palmaleinehof
daughter. Phoenix is currently working on her Family Obedience
title which she will compete for in October, we expect great things from
her. She has tremendous prey/play drive. We just had her
Penn hip certified and she scored a .27 which would be an excellent.
She scored the 4th tightest hips that Penn hip has ever certified.
You can see her puppies on the puppy family page. We were so
impressed with her puppies that we decided to keep a female out of her
litter. See her picture below. Phoenix earned her Family Obedience
title the fall of '09. Phoenix earned her Protection Alert in April and
won high in trial with an amazing score of 187.5. She will compete for her Protection 1 title in the Fall
of 2008.
