Max (Guin/Logan 11/05)
We could not be happier with our German Shepherd we bought from Camelot Shepherd's. He has become a solid member of our family. My husband works away from home sometimes months at a time and Max has grown to become my constant companion and family protector. Camelot Shepherd's was very kind and helpful when we went to pick out Max. Even after we brought Max home if I ever had a question about anything they were very helpful and have stayed in touch. Max is a gorgeous dog. Everyone we meet remarks on how beautiful he is and what a great temperament he
has. I would recommend Camelot Shepherds to anyone who wants a healthy, well-bred German Shepherd. They are the best!

King (Guin/Logan 11/05)
King belongs to the Bracken's, he is pictured here with his little friend Mickey. this is what they have to say about him. They had a special birthday for him. "WE LOVE HIM.......He has a friend over to spend the night for his birthday... We have a special treat for him for his birthday and he also got some new toys.... Its almost like he knows... He is ssooo smart..." King is quite the traveling man as you can see from the pictures below.

Gretchen (Guin/Logan 11/05)
I could not be happier with my German Shepherd I bought from Camelot Shepherds. She has become my constant companion and hunting buddy. She is a great deer tracker and loves to go every where I go. She has become an important and priceless part of my life. I love her and would recommend Camelot Shepherds to anyone who want to buy a well bred and highly intelligent German Shepherd. Angie was very helpful when I bought Gretchen and has been helpful after I had Gretchen at home and had any questions.

KOVATCH (Guin/Bear )
Hey Angie!
Here are some pictures of Kovatch, he is doing great! He hates to be hot though...its funny...he cant stand sleeping on blankets or going outside when its really hot. He likes chasing the cat and playing with my daughter...she loves him. I had the plumber in the house the other day and he wanted to buy him from me..."I said no way!" He said I'll give you $200 for him...I almost cussed him, I just told him that I would never sell him in the first place but the offer was way to cheap for a dog like this. Then the house alarm guy came and couldn't stop talking about how awesome he was...then one of my neighbors asked if I had anymore like him...its crazy I tell you! I am worried about someone trying to steal him! He is beautiful..enjoy the pics...ang

LUCIUS
(Nissa/Max)
Angie, I finally got my cord for my camera to download the pictures to the laptop. Lucius' first week has been excellent. He is doing well, enjoying his new family, and loves his daily walks on our 20 acres. He has figured out that the spring we have on the land is a great source of nice, cold water. LOL He has made a couple new friends with the guys doing construction on our new home. I could not be happier with this little guy. He is eating well, and doing fantastic so far. I will keep you up to date. Thanks again.

Update:
Angie,
It has been a while since I sent any pics of Lucius (Nissa/Max 3/07), so I figured I would send a couple I took over the weekend. He is doing great and has become our pride and joy. This dog has got the best mix between the perfect, loyal , loving pet and a protective watchdog. He is by far the best GSD I have ever owned. Although I have not weighed him in the last several months, I am guessing he is in the 90 lb range and all muscle. Do you have any idea how big his litter mates are? Anyway, I thought you would like the update. Thank you again, so much, for this dog. I cannot begin to explain how happy we are with him.
Take Care,
David Cote

MAX (Nissa/Max)
Well, it's official, Max is the smartest, most loving GSD in the whole world! At least we think so! Let's see he knows his name, No, Sit, Come, Daddy, Bird, Piper, MJ, and Kitty! He has almost got Fetch and Leave It too! I almost forgot, he knows Bird to. He is so smart, when ever he hears a sound he looks around and then at me, I tell him what the sound is, like Monday morning, Bird, and you can truly see him process this information in his head! Today when we went outside, he heard Birds, looked at me and I said Bird, and he started looking in the trees!
Sharp at a tack I tell you! As for loving, yesterday evening he and I sat on the porch while Brent (Daddy) cut the grass. He wasn't worried about the lawn mower at all. We played for awhile and then he just lay down right beside me and looked around for about 20 minutes straight! When he would hear something, he looks at me and I tell him what the sound is, like airplane, rooster, another dog barking, I ask him if he heard that doggie, car, just outside sounds. I am not joking Angie, he really looks at me deep in my eyes as if he is trying to process what I say.
I just can't tell you how happy we are with him. You should hear Brent on the phone with his friends bragging on his pedigree, the other GSDs temperament when we came up and of course, how he is going to be just like his amazing Dad, Max Sr. (I kinda hope we don't get a CD, he'd have me watching it all the time) He is one proud Papa. Well I will try to get some photos in for you soon, Lee, Max's Mom!

Anna
(Nissa/Max)
We spoke with and looked online at several breeders and none can compare with Camelot Shepherds. The family atmosphere, sound sensitizing and all around caring for the puppies cannot be beat. We are so happy with Anna. She is smart, friendly, outgoing, has beautiful markings and at the very young age of 3 months is always alert for anything out of the ordinary. She is very fast and agile, no clumsiness that you sometimes have in puppies. Angie is and has been there for us if we have any questions and tries her best to help out in any way. Thank you Angie!

Update: 2/8/10
We have had Anna almost 3 years now and I cannot begin to tell you how much pleasure she has given us. She is so smart and loves to help with the work outside, such as gathering firewood, pulling weeds, digging holes etc. When we pull weeds, she pulls weeds, when we did a hole for planting, she helps dig the hole, she always wants to help. Howard was putting up a fence and she would bring him the posts, not only did she bring them; she put them in a pile. He could not believe it! Guess she had watched him stack firewood. They learn quickly by watching.
She is very friendly with people and other animals, but when the need arises she is ready to protect. She has had no formal protection training. German Shepherds are so smart sometimes it is almost uncanny. We have a granddaughter that is on the Autistic spectrum, but high functioning, that lives in another state so we don’t see her very often. The granddaughter had come to spend some time with us, at the time Anna was about a year and one half old. A man knocked on our door, my husband and I was in other parts of the house, our granddaughter went to open the door. Anna ran to the door and when the door was opened Anna jumped in between our granddaughter and the man, with a low growl and teeth showing she put the man further back away from our granddaughter. Anna was definitely ready to protect if the need arose. Howard had gotten to the door in time to see what was happening. Anna would not leave our granddaughters side. If she went into a room and closed the door, Anna would lie at the door and not move until she came out. Wherever our granddaughter was, Anna was.
Sometimes we go for a walk in the park. She is always alert and watching when people are around, if we speak to a person, she relaxes and her body language changes. She is also fantastic at tracking you down. We can go outside and hide anywhere and she will track us down. Howard has gotten in a tree and she still finds him. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. She is amazing in so many ways and we love her dearly. I am so thankful we found Camelot Shepherds.
Angie takes every precaution in the breeding to see that her dogs produce sound puppies, both mentally and physically. I really like the fact that she has mom and puppies in her home and are exposed to lots of different things. She is not only a wonderful, caring breeder; she has become a friend as well. She is always there for any questions that arises and will do all she can to help you. Angie’s dogs make wonderful family companions. I would never go to anywhere else, but Camelot Shepherds. I am looking forward to another puppy I will be getting from Camelot Shepherds in a few weeks. Thank you Angie.

Del (Nissa/Max)
Hey Angie,
Here are some pictures that I took today. Del is doing great! He has a great prey drive (much to Jon’s dismay!!) Just kidding, they have quite a game going. Jon will take off running and Del will take off in a second looking for him and when he finds him, Del lunges and grabs his shorts and won’t let go. The neat thing is Del knows when it’s a game and when it’s not. It’s great and they love it and he’s showing a good nose for tracking as well and is learning basic commands. He went to get his 3rd shots today and he’s 22 ½ pounds now. He looks like he’ll be a great dog! We’re all sure having fun with him!

Libby (Nissa/Max)
Hi Angie, Libby is sure a little rascal, she has so much more energy than any other pup we have had.....probably because she is healthy and happy...we are enjoying her and she and our other dog have bonded very well. She is having some confusion over her name right now and responds best to 'little shit' rather than Libby. I will get a photo to you when I get round to it...she has grown so much, the vet was very pleased with her. She is very smart but also very opinionated. She loves her toys, she behaves herself at the barn and knows her boundaries. She is very respectful around the horses and has a natural curiosity....will send a picture soon...Pam

Bear (Guin/Bear)
Angie,
We recently purchased Bear from you. He is amazing. He is smarter than any other dog I have ever known and he is only 5 months old. He has a great disposition and temperament. He is also a gorgeous dog. He is very much part of the family. He wants to be wherever we are. If we are in the shower, he will lay on the bathroom floor. If we are going outside, he has to go with us. He makes us smile even when we have had a horrible day. I know that there is always a hug waiting for each of us when we get home. He has to hug (literally) every member of the family when we get home. He is very easy to train. He was very easy to house train. He is a wonderful dog.

Maximus (Guin/Bear)
Hmmm.. Where do we begin? I got Maximus on April 23, 2007 just as a surprise for my husband who has always wanted a dog of his own. I think he thought that it would just be something to play with and take care of.. Boy was he WRONG! Maximus is so much more than just a dog. He is just like a real little boy to both of us. He understands everything we say to him (sometimes he just chooses not to listen). He is so INCREDIBLY smart. It is like nothing we could have imagined. I have had dogs before, but WOW what a difference a well breed German Shepherd makes compared to any other dog. He is a constant companion, a pick me up on a bad day, a protector, a best friend, and a good bed buddy. Angie has been so helpful and informative with absolutely every aspect of our adventure with Maximus. She has been not only a teacher to us, but a best friend. I would recommend anyone that wants a German Shepherd buy only from Camelot. There are a lot of websites and breeders out there that claim to be a family based kennel, but with Angie all of the dogs and puppies are in her home, not locked up in a basement, a room, or a kennel. They have their own bedroom, a "puppy room" that is the symbol of family and makes it clearly evident to anyone that she (Angie) not only knows what she is doing, but for the time your puppy is in her care, that puppy is her family. Thank you so much for giving us our "little boy, Maximus" from your family to ours, he is a permanent part of the Donnahoo family now!
Sincerely,
Kevin, Michelle, and Maximus Donnahoo

Tristan (Phoenix/Logan)
I just don't know where to begin to tell you how wonderful my Tristan is. I think I am in love with my dog! From the first time I saw the little fella at 4 weeks of age and he marched right up to me, sat down and looked straight into my eyes, I was hooked. I could not even look at another puppy. As you know, I was looking for a really nice male shepherd for a personal protection, competition and possible breeding dog. Already, Tristan has proven himself to be everything I have every wanted in a male shepherd. He is definitely a once in a lifetime dog. He is gorgeous (I always receive compliments when I take him out), intelligent, loyal, brave and HUGE (90 lbs at 9 months of age). If he gets any bigger I am going to have to keep him in the barn with my horses. His temperament is rock solid - he's affectionate and playful with me, confident and friendly with the general public (including children); but woe to any bad guys. He is very protective of me and my home. You just can't beat his attitude - last week he earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen designation and then just a few days ago he passed his first puppy protection initiation with flying colors. A well-rounded dog like Tristan is a tribute to your good breeding and early socialization programs. I am excited about Tristan's future and know that he will succeed at whatever I ask of him. Keep your fingers crossed for us because I plan on competing for his Family Obedience title with Service Dogs of America next month.

Artemis (Nissa/Dierk)
He is getting big at our last vet visit he was 65lbs. We graduated basic obedience and are working on strengthening our skills while we await another evaluation of my son. Art, might not be attending school with my son, as his behavior there is significantly different then when he is at home or out in public. I begin a tracking class with him in the fall, we are starting training now by playing hid and seek with Rueben. Even though he is a puppy, he really has been as lifeline for me. I find that I am not as worry about things anymore.
Thank you sooo much I cannot begin to tell you what an angel you have given to our family.
He even takes good pictures.
Michelle Sluss
Artemis is being trained as a companion for Rueben who is autistic, he is a Nissa/Dierk puppy from the fall 2007 litter. Artemis is Nissa's second therapy dog, we believe she has found her calling in life.

Marlee (Guin/Ace)
Hi Angie!
Marlee is doing fantastic! I'm telling you this is the smartest dog I've ever had. She sits, stays, comes, lays down, shakes, speaks on command, and fetches her toys. She heals on lead and is learning very fast off lead to just be six months. Her favorite toy is her frisby and a tennis ball. Her ball drive is amazing. She LOVES the water. I took her out on the lake for the fourth of July and she even loved the fireworks. She would watch them and the loud noises did not scare her at all. I took her out last weekend for a day on the lake and she learned to jump from the dock to catch her ball in the water. She stays outside during the day while I'm at work but as soon as I get home she's right with me. She sleeps on the bed with me at night and also keeps my mom company when nobody is home. I have two indoor cats, one is just a kitten and they all play together. Marlee's best friend is a beagle / blue heeler mix. Marlee has been to many little league baseball games, the local feed store, Lows, the river, Pet Smart, the tire place where I get my tires balanced and rotated, camping at Dismals Canyon, and even to my work. However, I am sad to say that my other shepherd passed away in May after emergency surgery. I am so thankful for Marlee because she has been such a blessing in my life! I don't know what I would do with out her! I hope you enjoy the pictures I have attached. Hope all is well and Marlee sends kisses!
Thanks!

quinn (Nissa/Dierk)
We just wanted to let you know how happy we are with Quinn. He is now a little over 8 months old and 60-65lbs. Quinn is an amazing dog, he learns fast and is loving and kind. Everyone who meets always comments on what a great temprament he has and how calm (for a dog his age) he is. This summer we took all four of our dogs on an 8 hour road trip to the beach. We werent sure how a 7 month old puppy was going to do on such a long trip.Quinn was a champ no drama just rode calmly the whole trip. At the beach he was off leash for a week, truly impressive for such a young dog, We never worried about him running off or bothering other people, his recall is great. We thank you soo much for bringing Quinn in to our lives we just LOVE HIM.
Thank you,
Peter And Sammi Butty Update:
Quinn is doing great, he is a big boy at 85-90lbs. Solid temperament , loves people and kids. He is growing out of his crazy puppy stage. Enjoys his daily walks and runs, he responds very well to training and very eager to please.

We thank you soo much for bringing Quinn in to our lives we just LOVE HIM.
Thank you,
Peter And Sammi Butty Update:

Hey Angie-
You are very welcome. I would recommend anyone that I thought would be a good candidate for a GSD in your direction.
As for Lincoln…where do I start? There are so many great things to say about young Lincoln. He just turned 4 months and he weighs over 40 lbs, but he thinks he only weighs 5 lbs. He loves to be held like a baby and he is an affection-junkie. He’s pretty much 100% house trained and he already knows several (basic) commands. We just completed his 3rd class of obedience school and he is doing amazing. He is almost too smart for his own good.
If I had to sum up Lincoln I would say the following:
Sincerely,
Gil

- Loyalty is abundant
- Intelligence is superior
- Temperament is cool, calm & collected
- Personality is curious, playful & lovable
- Overall he is the quintessential example of the “man’s best friend”. He’s more than I could’ve hoped for!!

Hi, Angie!
I just wanted to send you an update on Sarge. Oh my goodness. How do I even describe how much we love this guy? He is just incredible. I have never been around a dog who is so affectionate and so loving. He will actually come up to us and gives us a hug! (Of course he’s jumping up and putting his paws on our shoulders, but how do you resist a dog that gives a hug?!!)
Sarge is currently in training on leash and off leash. He works with the trainer at their shop four days a week, and then we go in once or twice a week for OUR training. Then, at home, we apply what we’ve learned. Sarge is SO smart. The head trainer and the owner of the business (a Malinois owner!) cannot stop gushing over him. There, he is the Super Star. At home, he is definitely pushing to test every boundary! What I will never forget when we picked him up at Thanksgiving is that you ABSOLUTELY KNEW HIM. You knew he was smart, you knew his potential, and you knew his temperament. You were 100% correct. He has undoubtedly required a lot of supervision and correction (not redirection- like you said!), but seeing him mature and learn gives a glimpse of who he will be in a short time. His potential is breathtaking.
Sarge has been amazing with our kids. He and Grace, our five-year-old, have an incredible relationship. I swear, he seems to listen to her more than anyone else! They are cuddle buddies, and when he’s at “school” (training) during the day, she asks how much longer until he comes home. She was really sick a few weeks ago, and all he wanted was to be by her side. When she’s upset or crying, he’s a nervous wreck and has to be as close to her as possible to make sure that she’s ok. Sarge is not allowed on our couch, and I found those two sneaks cuddling and watching TV together one morning last week! I can only imagine how his affection will grow for her as he matures.
Jack, our 12-year-old, and Sarge are like some kind of weird boy-dog creature. They are one. Sarge started losing his baby teeth; Jack lost the rest of his baby teeth. Do you remember ET and Elliot? I swear, Jack and Sarge are linked together somehow. Their personalities are even the same- intelligent, loyal, incredibly loving, wild, laser focus on what interests them, and complete goofballs the rest of the time. Sarge sleeps in a crate in Jack’s room, and it only took a few nights for him to settle in. Jack is the one who would get up with him when he had to go out in the middle of the night in the early days. I could not be more impressed with Jack as he’s learned true responsibility in caring for Sarge. I call Jack Sarge’s “kryptonite” because Sarge will be so good, so focused, so calm… But as soon as he hears Jack’s footsteps or voice, he just falls apart. He adores his boy. It is everything we hoped for.
Having a puppy has pushed my “I like everything a certain way” husband to the very edge of his comfort level, but Sarge has melted and won his heart. As soon as Jim gets home from work, the two of them are on the floor, wrestling and cuddling and smothering one another. Yesterday I was walking Sarge, and a neighbor was walking his small dog too. The small dog was barking and growling and pulling at her leash, acting like a complete lunatic. I told Sarge to sit, and he did. He had his head up, chest out, and there wasn’t a bit of tension on his leash. My heart just about burst with pride. I cannot wait for my husband to have this same experience with him.
As for me, I’m already day dreaming about coming back for a female! I’ve been looking at and reading about Camelot’s Ladies! I’m not sure if I’d like to go with a Shepinois or full German Shepherd next time. I’ll be curious to hear who you think would be a good match when we’re ready to add another family member. J Sarge is black like Timmy, but he has brown stripes behind his ears, and a little bit of brown and the tiniest bit of white on his chest. People literally stop in the street and point when he walks by. I’m not exaggerating! He’s HUGE, and I love it. He was about 54 pounds on February 17. The vet think he’ll be between 90 and 100. Right now he’s still very lanky; his feet are enormous.
Even with most of his baby teeth out, all Sarge wants to do is chew. He likes balls and rope and squeaky toys, but nothing has thrilled him more than this random rag he likes to tug and pull on. Our trainer used to do K-9 work, and I’m curious to find out from you too- what’s the best way to satisfy this for him? I’d like to learn more about bite work and how that works for a family dog vs. a work dog or show dog.
Thank you so much for everything! Have a great day!
