We will try to entertain you with stories of our German Shepherds here at Camelot as well as our puppies that are located in many other states, such as Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Alabama, Alaska, Boston, Michigan, Maryland and Florida and of course right here in Tennessee, just to name a few. We hope to make this a fun and informative page for your enjoyment.
June 26, 2014, A new website and we are on our way, or at least partially on our way, still working to get this site up and running and everything moved from the old site. Please bear with us on the transition. We have 3 litters of German Shepherd Puppies due in the next couple of weeks, so we are about to be very busy little bees. Along with several dogs here for obedience training. We will do our best to start keeping this page updated with current information.

January 22, 2014, A new year that has started off with a bang, a very busy time here at Camelot German Shepherds, Since our girls all seem to cycle together, it kind of puts us in a bind with breeding, so we have several litters at the moment and have been super busy, but I love what I do and I spend a lot of time with these guys. We have German shepherd puppies available in Lumen's litter, I have one solid black female, 1 sable male, and 2 black and tan males. I have puppies available in Mercy's litter as well, 1 solid black female, 1 very dark bi-color male, and 3 sable males. I have one female available in the Shepinois litter from Cooper and Thorn. We have another Shepinois litter due in March and they are going very quickly. We are still accepting deposits on that litter, but the wait list is almost full. Training is going very well, Timmy is moving along very well in his training for his PDC, we hope to earn it early this spring and work on his 1 for fall of this this year. Justice is coming along nicely as well and Rampage is doing exceptionally well, we hope to earn his PDC in the spring as well.
December 3, 2013, Wow the time has really ticked by, It has been crazy busy and about to get even more so. All of our puppies have gone to their new homes and we are in preparation for the upcoming litters, we are about to have a very, very busy winter. Did I say, that I do love me job. It can be very hectic, but so much of what I always wanted to do. We kept a female from Saphria's litter to possibly be a future breeding female. We named her Legacy, she is a beautiful very large black sable female. She is doing amazing, very quick to learn and so super easy to housebreak. We are keeping one or two from Nissa's upcoming litter and then we will be finished with keeping any young pups for hopefully a couple of years. These two will put all of replacement breeding females in place and we can just train and enjoy them. We are planning our upcoming trial season, hope to earn Timmy's PDC and his PDA1 next year and possibly a PDC on Mercy. We are also trying to certify both Pandy and Pain for SAR, they are doing great, Pandy is a crazy dog whenit comes to the rubble work and will go through anything to help a person and Pain has a phenomenal nose for scent work, she is doing great work as a cadaver dog.
September 30,2013. Another busy week in our German shepherd world. We have German shepherd puppies available. We have 2 females available from Laika's litter they are 14 weeks old, they are beautiful little girls with great temperament. They are house broken, crate trained, they have had all of their vaccines, including their rabies. They are doing really well in their obedience training as well. You can see more information and video of them on the available puppies page. We have solid black German shepherd puppies available as well, in Tory's litter. She has 2 bi-color females and 3 solid black females available in her litter. They were five weeks old on Sunday and are great pups, very social and outgoing, they are showing really nice drive and willingness to please. We have 3 bi-color females available in Saphira's litter as well, they are little fat butterballs, they are not quite 3 weeks old and absolutely beautiful. We have Shepinois puppies that were born on the 19th and they are gorgeous. They have more than doubled in size in 11 days. We will be posting new pictures of them later this week.
September 19, 2013, We have German shepherd puppies available, We have 4 females German shepherd puppies from Laika and Blitz's litter, they are doing amazing with their housebreaking and obedience. They are very smart little girls. We have one male and 3 females available in Tory and Thorn's litter and we have 1 male and 2 females available in Saphira's litter. Our litter of Shepinois puppies is due this week/weekend. This should be a phenomenal litter. We just did our OFA prelim on Excalibur who is my Guinevere and Thorn son and his hips and elbows looked beautiful. We are very excited to add him to our upcoming studs. We will be doing Justice at a later date, since he is currently experiencing some growing pains. Imagine a 100 pd 15 month old with growing pains. Training has started back and is going really well. We are currently working on a lot of our young dogs and hope to earn some titles on these upcoming dogs at the beginning of next year.
September 6, 2013, Tory's German shepherd puppies were born on August 25th, she had 10 beautiful little bundles. There were 7 females and 3 males born in her litter, we currently have 1 male and 3 females available in Tory's litter. We have 4 females and 1 male available in Laika's litter. They are 11 weeks old and beautiful bi color and black and tan pups. Check them out on the available puppies page. We have a litter of Shepinois due on the 18th and we are very excited for this litter. This is Prada and Brom and you can see more info on this breeding by going to the upcoming litters page. We start training back this weekend and we are very excited to be back to it. We have a lot of young dogs that are currently in development stage and we hope to get some pictures of them this weekend. The Kennel is coming along really well, the outside kennel walls are up and the water has been run. So, it won't be long now.
August 19, 2013, Very busy week with all of the German Shepherd puppies and Shepinois puppies going to their new homes. We still have 2 males one and 4 females available in Laika and Blitz's litter, they are beautiful puppies all black and tan or bi-color, great temperament and will make excellent family and home protection dogs. We will be posting individual pictures of available puppies in the next few days. We are anxiously awaiting the birth of Tory and Thorn's puppies which are due around the 26th of August. And of course Saphira and Prada are due in Sept. Going to be a very busy fall. We are working on our whelping rooms to divide our large whelping room into two smaller ones to accommodate the fact that my girls tend to cycle together so often. We are busy again on the kennel and hope to make some good progress toward it's completion which is hopefully going to be before Thanksgiving. We will have an open house once it has been completed. Training is scheduled to start back again in September so we will hopefully be posting some new training pictures especially of our young dogs. It has been a good break and a much needed one, but it's time to get back in the swing of things.
August 6, 2013, Wow, it's been almost a month since our last update, it has been a crazy busy month with the German shepherds and Malinois puppies, This is the age when it gets very busy with cleaning and feeding and just general care. Do you know how long it takes to cut sixteen sets of toenails! Especially with the wiggle worms going 90 to nothing. This is also the very cute age, when they are really starting to show their personality and cannot get enough attention. We spend a great deal of time with them and when you walk into the room they just swarm you for attention. They are getting into to everything and are having a great time learning to explore. Our German shepherd puppies and the Shepinois puppies will be ready to go to their new homes the weekend of August 17th, so lots of preparation for the puppy pickup. We are starting to set up appointment times for pickup. That is going to be one busy weekend. I just spent the last hour editing and cropping pictures for the Available German Shepherd puppies page. So, check out the new pictures, this was their first day outside and as you can see they had a great time. The kennel and training facility is really coming along nice, the siding is on, and all of the doors, it is really beginning to take shape. We hope to have it ready for boarders by Thanksgiving.
July 9, 2013 Well those of you from our area know that we have had very wet group of German shepherds, it is so much fun cleaning up all of the mud. You know these guys do love to play in the mud. All of the German shepherds puppies and Shepinois puppies are doing great, everyone is growing like little weeds and really starting to get around. Just posted some really cute pictures on Available German Shepherd puppies page. I have about a week and a half before things get really busy again, with the puppies starting to eat their puppy mush. The kennel is coming along, we have the concrete poured for the outside runs, we have ordered the siding for the outside as well, so it is starting to look like a building now. Hope to have it useable by fall. We have a planned litter of Belgian Malinois puppies as soon as Prada comes in heat, she will be bred to Reaper. This should be a really nice litter of Malinois, with Prada's more serious side and Reapers extremely solid nerve, this should be an excellent balance, both dogs have really nice prey drive and do great obedience and solid bite work. This should be an awesome working litter. I will be posting more info on this breeding within the next week.
July 2, 2013, Of course another busy week with German shepherd puppies and we have a new litter of Shepinois puppies as well. Felony was bred to our new male Reaper. We just added Reaper's information to our webiste you can read all about him here. This was a small litter of only four, but was a real blessing because Felony is helping Laika raise her 12 little bundles of joy. So, I am not having to bottle feed. Which is awesome. Everyone is doing very well, all of the German shepherd puppies are growing like little weeds and Felony's shepinois puppies are beautiful and healthy as well. Tory has been bred to Thorn and her puppies are due around the 27th of August. This is a repeat breeding of Tory and Thorn and the previous litter was very nice. We have been working on the kennel again and the concrete has been poured for the outside portion of the runs. We hope to have siding on it late next week. It is coming along, slowly but surely.
June 24, 2013, It has been another busy week with the German shepherd puppies, I still need to get new pictures of Bella's pups which I will try to do this afternoon. Laika had her puppies on Sunday the 23rd. She had her larges litter ever. With 12 being the magic number. 7 females and 5 males all beautiful, healthy little German shepherd puppies. This is Laika's larges litter. This the second breeding between Laika and Blitz and the previous litter was phenomenal. It's almost time for Bella's puppies to go to their new homes and I know the new owners are getting very excited. The dogs have been enjoying the pool in the very warm weather, just need to get somebody to help me so I can get some great pictures. We are still doing some training, but mainly obedience and early development of our young dogs. It has been a nice break for us, one that we really needed.
June 13, 2013 All of our Addison and Brom German shepherd puppies have gone to their new homes in Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, Oklahoma, South Carolina.....We have had a busy couple of weeks and the next couple of weeks are going to be crazy as well. Bella's puppies will go home the last weekend of this month. Laika is due on the 20th, so next week is going to be very busy. I just posted new pictures of Bella's puppies on the Available German Shepherd puppies page. They are all very cute and very dark sable. They are outgoing and rambunctious little buggers. We are taking a break from training right now, since the weather is so hot. We are currently taking deposits on Laika's litter and deposits on the upcoming litter of Tory and Thorn.
May 28, 2013, Busy, Busy, Busy. Did I say busy? German Shepherd puppies galore! Addison's babies are growing like little weeds and doing very well, they had their first puppy visitors this weekend and they did great, they also had their first outside playtime and the pictures are posted on the Available German Shepherd puppies page. They are scheduled for their vet checkup on Wednesday. Mercy is scheduled for her pregnancy ultrasound on Wednesday as well. Bella's puppies have moved out of the whelping bed and into the large new world of the puppy room, they are getting around very well and exploring their new world. They are starting to be a little interested in food, but are still mainly nursing. Since Bella has plenty of milk, they don't care to much for food yet. They are absolutely huge, most of them are 5 pounds or better at only 3 weeks of age. That's what happens with a smaller litter. We currently have 2 females available from Addison's litter and 1 male available from Bella's. We are taking deposits on Laika and Mercy's litters as well. Laika's litter will be primarily black and tan and bi-color puppies.
May 21, 2013, Ahhh German Shepherd puppies!! Addison's puppies are 5 weeks old and growing like little bears, so much fun at this age, busy exploring and playing. They are eating well now and really getting big. Their personalities are starting to come in and we small differences in each one. Bella's puppies eyes are open and they are starting to get around. We have put their collars on them, so you can start to tell them apart. Laika has been confirmed pregnant, she has been bred to Blitz and their German shepherd puppies are due around the 20th of June. She looks to be caring a fairly large litter again. We will confirm Mercy's pregnancy next week as well as take Addison's babies in for their 6 week checkup. Addison's puppies have had their first set of vaccines and will be available for visiting after the 23rd of May. We have decided to go in a different direction with Brom's training and are currently getting him ready to compete for his Schutzhund BH . We should have him pretty soon. He is very advanced in his obedience, we just need to work on improving his focus. Thorn is still working on his PSA 2 and will hopefully compete for his first leg next spring. We may also work toward his BH as well. We are working with Lumen as well for fall on her PDC, looks like we may be traveling to title her before she is bred in the fall. May be headed back to visit with the St. Louis folks. The kennel construction will be started back very soon and we are really looking forward to that. Timmy is coming along very nicely in his training and we have high hopes for him to compete this fall as well. Lot's of work to do, so it's off to work we go!
May 13, 2013, Another busy week in the life of raising German shepherd puppies, we have met several new people this week from around the area, McMinnville and Paris Tennessee this weekend. We don't allow anyone to meet the German shepherd puppies until they have had their first set of vaccines at 5 weeks, but we do allow anyone to come and meet the parents and the other dogs. Addison's puppies are currently 4 weeks old and are doing great, they are really starting to show personality and are becoming very playful. There are new pictures of them available on the available puppies page. Bella's puppies were a week old on Saturday. They are doing really well too, getting absolutely huge. There are current pictures of them up as well. We will be doing the ultrasound on Laika around the 2oth of this month to confirm her pregnancy and we will do Mercy's ultrasound roughly a week later. Lot's of new and exciting things happening. We will begin the final phase of the kennel in Mid June. Also, Brom will be competing for his PDC the first weekend in June. Thorn is working toward his PSA 2, but it will be next spring before we give that a try. Several of our girls will be competing next spring as well. New training pictures of Guin's terrible threesome will be posted soon and we will be creating their own pages for them as well.
May 5, 2013 Well we have lots of German shepherd puppies! Bella's litter was born on Saturday, May 3rd, Bella had 6 babies, 4 males and 2 females. They are all black sable, they are fat and sassy little pups. We just posted pics on the available puppies page. Addison's German shepherd puppies are getting very large and doing great, they are getting around well and just starting to show their personality. They will start eating soon and then the fun begins. They are beautiful little pups and sooo cute right now. We will be doing Laika's ultrasound soon to confirm her pregnancy as well as Mercy. Training has been rather slow, because of the weather. I will be very glad when the building is finished, so we have an indoor training area. Take a look at the new pictures and enjoy!
April, 27 2013, Well, we are anxiously waiting on Bella's litter of German shepherd puppies. They are due any day now and she is a very miserable little girl. Addison's litter is doing very well, growing and getting around. Their eyes are starting to open and they are really mobile now. It won't be long until they will be climbing out of the whelping bed. We had our numbers a little wrong on the male and female count. I had lost a male at the beginning and I was thinking I had only three males, however, when I put the collars on them I realized nope I had 4. Oh well, that is when you know you are very busy. I was more worried about keeping them all fed and healthy. We currently have 5 females and 1 male available from Addison's litter. We are still accepting deposits on Bella's litter as well. Good news, Mercy has been bred to Blitz. She was AI'd this morning and everything looks great. Her puppies should be due around the 29th of June. This will be her first litter. It should be an amazing litter of German Shepherd puppies with a lot of drive and great temperament.
April 21, 2013, Very busy week in the company of Lot's of German Shepherd puppies. Addison and her puppies are doing great, growing like little weeds. New pictures are on the available puppies page. We are anxiously awaiting Bella's litter which is due later this week. She is getting large and in charge. She is a little on the cranky side in her late pregnancy. But who can really blame her. We have bred Laika to Blitz and that litter will be due around June 20th. So we are about to have a bunch of German shepherd puppies, but what a fun way to spend the summer, playing with puppies. We still are training with Brom and Timmy. Not sure we will have Timmy ready to trial in June, but Brom will be trialing for his PDC in June. So, very busy weeks ahead, we will try our best to keep you informed of any changes taking place. We are going to start posting new pictures soon. I have a lot of training pictures that need to be moved from facebook to the website. More updates and articles coming soon.
April 17, 2013 Well the work begins, We have a litter of 13 German Shepherd puppies! Addison's puppies were due on Apil 15th, this is Addison's second litter of tax day babies, her first which was also with Brom was born on April 15 as well. This is going to be a great litter of German shepherd puppies, they will make excellent family dogs, great personal protection dogs and great sport prospects. Addison produces very nice puppies. Of course my work is just beginning because I will be having to help with feeding to supplement for so many puppies, so bottle duty begins. It's been a long time since we have had to do bottle duty, but I don't really mind, such a great bond is formed with puppies that have had the connection from birth. Bella is due in two weeks, so we are getting prepared for that. Lumen and Laika are both in heat and will be bred this week. So, a very busy week at Camelot. Ahh such is the life of a Breeder of German shepherds and Belgian malinois, no rest for the weary! I do love my life!! Well, most days!
April 9, 2013, Well another week in the life with our German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois. It has been a busy week, getting ready for our two upcoming litters of German Shepherd puppies. Addison is due anytime after the 13th and Bella is due at the end of the month. Also, Lumen is currently in heat and will be bred to to Thorn, this will be Lumen's first litter and we have great expectations from this litter. Laika is also in heat and will be bred to Blitz, this was a phenomenal breeding last year and we expect this litter to be amazing as well. We are moving right along with our training. I currently have Mercy, Timmy and Brom getting ready for the June PSA trial in Knoxville. We are going to have a busy summer, with several litters of German Shepherd puppies as well as we plan to have our training and boarding facility finished by mid-summer. We will be having an open house when we have it completed.
April 2, 2013, Well we hope to get this particular page back up and running and keep it that way. This is our way to keep you informed of the current status of puppies, adults and all of the happening here at Camelot German Shepherds. We currently have two litters of German shepherd puppies due, Addison's litter is due around the 17th of April and Bella's litter right around the first of May. Both of these litters are repeat breeding and the previous puppies turned out very nice. We also have one male Belgian Malinois puppy available from the Casey and Merlin litter.
Our March PSA trial was a great success, we had an awesome turn out and the trial itself went exceptionally well. We have plans to make this an annual event and are tentatively on the schedule next year for March 22nd and 23rd. We currently have several dogs in training for the upcoming PSA trial in June. Timmy (Bella and Blitz's son) will be competing for his PDC, Mercy and Tory are working toward their PDC's as well. We hope to try and title both of them as well. Thorn is currently working toward his Level 2, we have a lot of work to do, but hope to try for the first leg of it at our trial next spring. Brom is still working toward his PDC,, this is a hard title for him, because he tends to be very serious about protecting his mom and doesn't really want anyone on the field where I am. Oh well, we will get him there eventually. Several of girls will be competing next spring, now that the kennel is almost finished and we will have an indoor place to train this winter. We will be able to have them ready before breeding season begins next spring.
Oct 10, 2012, Well, lets see if we can get back into rhythm with our updates on the life of our German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, we have 3 litters due in about 4 1/2 weeks, we have a litter of Shepinois, a litter of German Shepherd puppies and a litter of Belgian Malinois puppies. We are going to have a very busy November. For those of you who are not following us on Facebook, Thorn is going to compete at the PSA Nationals on November 10th. We are very excited that he qualified to compete at that level. We will be posting video and updates as soon as we return from Cincinnati. All of our German Shepherd puppies have gone to their new homes and we are very happy to watch them grow up in Georgia, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Alaska, North Carolina, South Carolina and of course here in Tennessee. We kept the three Guin babies and they are doing very well, we will be posting pictures of them very soon. They are now four months old and huge. We have several new articles to publish and will do our best to get them published this week.
August 29, 2012
Ok, I am improving with my weekly updates on the German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois. Things are beginning to slow down a little, the German shepherd puppies are getting a little older, not quite as much work, they are doing really well in using their litter box, so clean up is super easy. Addy's litter goes in for their vet checkup tomorrow, so it will be a long day, but great for the German shepherd puppies, getting out and meeting new people. Their first car trip as well. Both litters of German shepherd puppies are growing up and developing nicely, they have great temperament and sooo very cute. Very rich pigment and great overall structure. Addison's puppies can go home the weekend of the 8th, so the time is getting close. Bella's pups can go home the weekend of the 22nd of Sept. I have two German shepherd females available in Addison's litter, one bi-color and one sable and I have two bi-color females available in Bella's litter. Felony is currently in heat, so we will be breeding her late next week, we are still waiting on Morgan, so glad these girls are giving me a little break. We also expect Prada in heat in September, so we will be having a litter of Belgian Malinois puppies before long as well. Time for a new pair of very high top boots!!! Training is going really well, we have our final date for our upcoming PSA trial, it will be held here on March 16, 2013. We are so excited and will be posting more information on the Camelot K9 facebook page as well as the website very soon.
August 21, 2012
Another 3 weeks in the day and the life of the multitude of German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois. We have been very busy with the German shepherd puppies and with getting our kennel finished. The German shepherd puppies in both Addison and Bella's litters are doing very well, growing like little weeds, we just posted new pics of them today and a slide show of Addison's puppies. I did put collars on Bella's puppies so you can see the only little male puppy is the green collar. He is most definitely out numbered. They are at the fun age now, in a couple of weeks they become quite the handful. The kennel is coming along well, we just poured the concrete and will start the next phase in September. We hope to have it operational by mid to late October. Training has been slow again due to the heat but everyone is progressing, we have been working a lot with the young dogs and Prada, Tory and Lumen are doing very well. My goal is to title them in spring. We just did Prada's OFA and her hips are beautiful, we plan to breed her to Merlin when she comes into heat. So, we will have a crazy litter of Belgian Malinois running around hopefully very soon. This should be a nice litter of Belgian Malinois pups, with extreme drive and a nasty side. Of course the dogs are always doing something and recently Saphira made pink snow, I had a loofa in a bag on my desk and she decided she really needed it, so she took it quietly from the bag and she and of course Pandy were making pink snow all over the front yard. Then, I hear this commotion in the front yard and Guin's three puppies had gotten themselves stuck in the hole that my dogs have been digging to China by the house, apparently it will not fit three 20pd puppies at one time, I like to have never got those little chubby behinds out of that hole. So, never a dull moment with this many German Shepherds and Malinois, but I wouldn't change a thing!!!
August 7, 2012
Living with German Shepherds and Malinois is always interesting and some days very challenging, I probably needed to have my head examined when I decided to keep all of Guinevere's little ones, but they are doing great, definitely keeping me on my toes. They are doing well in their housebreaking, except, I can only carry two at a time, so trying to get the third one to follow me outside through all of the big German Shepherds is a little interesting. They are going to be very large babies and we have great expectations for all three of them. I will be posting pictures of them very soon. Addison's German shepherd puppies are doing very well, we just posted pictures of them with their collars on, so you can begin to tell who is who among the group. Also the live web cam is up and running as well. You can watch the German shepherd puppies playing all day long. Bella and her puppies are doing very well and growing very large. They are actually as big as some of Addison's little ones are right now. Bella is a great mom and is currently helping Addison with a couple of her babies. So, if you miss two of Addison's little girls on the camera, they are with Bella at the moment. We currently have 3 available German shepherd puppies available in Addison's litter, all female, one bi-color and two sable. We have 2 female German shepherd puppies available in Bella's litter, they are both bi-color/ black and tan.
July 31, 2012, This has been a very busy and somewhat hard month, We apologize for the delay in our updates on our German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois. We have had a death in our family, so we have been very busy and emotionally drained.
So, lot's of information on the current German Shepherd litters and training, first Addison and Thorn's puppies were born on, yes, Friday July 13th. Addy had 12 puppies, 8 males and 4 females, all the furry little German Shepherd puppies are doing great and Addison of course is an excellent mom. The puppies are now two weeks old, their eyes are open and they are starting to move around pretty well, they are also starting to play with each other and with mom. Bella and Blitz's puppies were born on July 28th, Bella only had 4 German Shepherd puppies, 1 male and 3 females, this was a small litter for Bella, because we actually decided to breed her late in her cycle. We were planning to title her and then we decided to wait until spring to work on her PDC title. Actually, we had planned to host a PSA trial in September and we were planning to title several of our German shepherds in that trial, but we have decided to move the trial until spring when the weather will be cooler. So, we will try and get Bella ready for that trial which is currently being planned for March. We currently have 1 male and 3 females German shepherd puppies for sale in Addison's litter and 2 females available in Bella's litter. Training is going very well and everyone is coming along as well as they can with the heat. We have had to postpone a couple of training sessions due to the heat and we will be very glad when the indoor training facility is done. We hope to have the training and boarding facility finished before Christmas to be able to offer boarding to our clients. We just posted new pictures of all of the puppies on the available puppies page. We plan to have the puppy cam back up and running later this week.
July 1, 2012, Well it has been a hot couple of days living with German Shepherds and Malinios, their body heat added to the 107 degree temperature is miserable, they try to hog the air vents and we have had to create some new and interesting ways to keep them from doing so. All of our German Shepherd puppies have gone to their new homes. We have puppies now in California, Boston, Texas, another puppy went to Pennsylvania, two went to Detroit, and two went to South Carolina. We are currently accepting deposits on our upcoming litters of German Shepherd puppies, Addison and Thorn's German shepherd puppies are due the 11th of July and Bella and Blitz's puppies are due the 29th of July. Both of these are repeat breeding and we expect great things from the litters. We are working hard on our boarding and training facility once again and hope to have it completed by October. We so look forward to the day we can train inside out of both the heat and cold. I know the dogs will greatly appreciate it. Time is going quickly for training only 8 more training weekends until Thorn goes to Regionals, so excited to be able to compete at this level. He is doing really well. We have several young German shepherds in training for our upcoming trial in Sept. More information about that event will posted very soon. Now that I may actually get a little break. Also Guinevere's new German Shepherd puppies are doing very well, they are beautiful and very outgoing. We are so looking forward to watching them grow up and become the future generations of Camelot.
June 14, Another busy couple of weeks in our lives with German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, We do love these guys so much and I do love my job, we are getting very close to the day the puppies are going to their new homes, so we are very busy, with temperament test and vet visits and all of the fun, busy task, that leads up to the happy day, we send our little fur babies home with their new owners. Thorn and Brom are taking a little break from training, but Thorn will be working very hard again to get ready for his big day at Regionals in Sept. We are looking forward to that day and praying we do well. We will be traveling to Chicago to compete and Brian will be staying with all of the fur babies. What a wonderful husband I have. The German Shepherd puppies are all growing and getting very rambunctious these days. I just posted new pictures of their play day outside, they didn't think too much of the heat, but otherwise, seem to really enjoy themselves. We currently have one female available from Tory and Thorn's litter, she is the lime green collar female. We have one Belgian Malinois available, she is 5 1/2 months old. She was the pick of the litter, that we kept for ourselves, but have decided to sell. I have a little too much on my plate with Guin's new babies. More pics and info will be posted on her later today. Pandora has been the entertainment for the week, since she loves the swimming pool, she keeps me company while, I clean the pool and catch a few precious minutes in the sun.
May 24, 2012, Well it has been a long and fun week with the German Shepherds and Malinois, All of the little Malinois puppies have found their forever homes, We do have German Shepherd puppies available, We have three female German Shepherd puppies available in Tory and Thorn's litter. They are very nice little puppies, already very friendly and outgoing at just 4 weeks old. There are 2 sable females and 1 bi-color female available. The PSA trial this past weekend went really well, Thorn was amazing, yes, I must brag on my big boy, because he did shine. He scored very well and won High PSA 1, high in trial, high in obedience, high in protection, high owner trained dog and our training club was recognized with the high club trained dog going to Camelot K9. Brom did not do as well and we have got to go back to work, but he will get his PDC in Sept. He wanted to eat the Judge, for being too close to his mom. Of course training him to do the call back to another decoy probably didn't help matters. Cooper decided she like the bag of cans better than the decoy, so she will be competing for her PSA 1 in Sept as well. Thorn qualifies to go to the Regional competition in Sept, with the hopes of qualifying for the National PSA trial in Oct. Addison has been bred to Thorn and her puppies are due around the 11th of July. We are currently taking deposits on this litter. Getting ready for swim time with the dogs, pool has been set back up in it's new location with a nice large deck so the dogs can have a nice place to jump into the pool. Also, so we can do bite work from the deck and into the pool, we had a ball with that last year. We will be posting pictures when we do this again.
May 15, 2012, Well we are doing a litter better with our update, it's only been two crazy weeks in life of the dog house with the German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois children. We are working hard in training right now, Brom, Thorn and Cooper will be competing on May 20th for their PSA titles.
We currently have 2 Belgian Malinois puppies available and 3 German Shepherd pups, 1 black and tan male from Laika's litter and 2 females from Tory's litter available. We are taking deposits on the upcoming German Shepherd puppies from both Addison's litter and Bella's litter. The puppies are growing like crazy, Tory's German Shepherd puppies are almost ready to get out of the whelping bed, they are experimenting with food, but sill much prefer mom. We will be posting new articles of interest in the next couple of days.
May 1, 2012 Ahh the joys of raising German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, let's see, no sleep, I don't think I own anything, that does not have teeth marks on it. If it is not chewed on it's not mine. All towels are missing corners, shoes, with no strings, kitchen chairs with teeth marks, oh and let's not forget the daily vacuum of dog hair. If I could figure out a way to market dog hair, I would be a millionaire. But the upside, they love you unconditionally, they are always willing to give you kisses, no matter how bad a day you have had or how little sleep. They are always right there. They don't complain, they don't care what your hair looks like or that you badly need a pedicure. They just love you.
Well the funny story for the week, lets see, Guinevere has found out that her orange ball is not easily retrieved if she drops it in the toilet, it is the perfect size of the hole, so no matter how hard she digs and how much water she puts on the bathroom floor, that ball is not coming out. The funny part is the barking at the toilet, like Let go of my ball!!! It was hilarious.
Training is going well, working on Brom and Thorn getting them ready to trial in May. Working on both Protection and obedience training. Both German Shepherd boys are doing great, Cooper of course always does well and will probably pull this off without a hitch. Trial is May 20th, so the countdown is on.
Currently on puppy watch, Laika is ready to have her German Shepherd puppies at any time. We also, have Belgian Malinois puppies available, we have four female Mali's, they have nice drive, but are not so over the top to be hard to live with.
April 23, 2012 This has been a very busy month and we hope to do much better with the updates on the lives of our German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois. Sorry, no funny story this week, although we have a lot, just at the moment the lack of sleep is making my mind blank. We have removed our family page and are working on a page for each individual female and her litters, that way everyone can see what the puppies look like that come from each female. It gives us a way to post the pictures of the German Shepherds as they grow up and is not quite as time consuming as keeping up with each individual litter, but the puppies as a whole. We are working hard on Training, Thorn is working very hard toward his PSA1 which we hope to earn, Also, Cooper is going for her PSA1, Brom is working toward his PDC. Tory had her puppies on the 23rd, she had 10 beautiful little pups, 5 females and 5 males. Laika is due next week, we are going today to xray her and see how many puppies she is carrying. We still have 3 female Belgain Malinois puppies for sale, nice pups with great drive and really outgoing. We plan to start putting an article up each week along with our weekly update. Or at least an article every other week. Now, that things have somewhat settled down, we hope to get back to a weekly update. Maybe that way I can remember the funny German Shepherd and Belgain Malinois stories.
March 7, 2012, Again a busy two weeks living with German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, this is my full time job and although I love my job, most people have no idea how much work is involved in a single day. We currently have two litters of German Shepherd puppies and one litter of Belgian Malinois puppies. Nissa had her puppies on February 27th. She had five healthy little fur children. 2 males and 3 females. Right now, our wait list is full for all of our German Shepherd puppies, but we do have Belgian Malinois puppies available. We are taking deposits on Coopers litter now. We also are accepting deposits on both Tory and Laika's litters. Tory has been bred to Thorn and her puppies are due the end of April and Laika has been bred to Blitz her puppies are due around the first of May. Both of these are maiden litters, but we expect great things from both litters. These will now be the third generations of our original dogs
We just finished the updating of our puppy rooms, with tile, to make it much easier to keep clean. Guinevere thought she needed to help in the process and if the tile was removed, you would be able to see her little paw prints all through the house.
This weeks funny story involves training. Brian learned to leave a dog on the back tie wall until the dog is targeting really well. We were working with a younger dog that has just started training with us. She was not targeting well. When Brian told Jay to pull her down and lets do some fun stuff, we all looked at him, like he had lost his mind. Well, did he learn. Jay brings his dog down and Brian yells "send her" and she went, yep right for his leg. The funniest thing you have ever seen is Brian dancing around trying to get this dog to take the sleeve. We were all rolling on the ground except poor Jay, who didn't know what to do.
I need to start keeping notes on the funny stories, because when I sit down to do this, I can't remember a thing and of course you do not live with this group of German Shepherds and Malinois and not have a ton of funny stories. I will soon be posting new pictures and video of Thorn and Brom working on their PSA titles both boys are doing really well as is Addison who is working toward her first title with PSA.
February 14, 2012, Happy Valentines day from all of our Germans Shepherds adults and German Shepherd Puppies and our Belgian Malinois crew as well. We hope you have a very special day with your loved ones and furry children.
It has been a busy two weeks, with a litter of German Shepherd puppies on the ground and a litter of Belgian Malinois on the ground, I am a busy lady, but I love my job and I love my fur babies. Phoenix's litter is doing very well growing like crazy we just posted new pictures on the puppy page. They are a week old and huge babies. Cooper's Belgian Malinois puppies are doing well too, just now getting their eyes open at 2 weeks. They will really start to move around and become more active in the upcoming week. Nissa our other German Shepherd is due the 26th, so it is about to get crazy busy.
The good news is both Tory and Mercy are now in heat, so more German Shepherd puppies to come. Tory is a Guinevere and Brom daughter and will be bred back to Thorn. Mercy is a Phoenix and Thorn daughter and will be bred to Blitz. These puppies will be due around Mid-April and ready to go home around mid -June.
Training is coming along well, Thorn is working hard for his upcoming PSA 1, that is a tough title, but I think he will do well. Brian hopes to have Cooper ready for that title as well. The trial is in May, so we don't have a lot of time left. The weather really needs to give us a break.
Our funny story for the week is: Did you know that oranges look just like balls and they come in this really handy bag to carry them outside with. Pandy and of course Pain ( I see a pattern here) took the Oranges off the kitchen counter and had the entire bag out in the front yard. I am so glad nobody that knows me drove by as I was chasing two Belgian Malinois around in the front yard trying to take the oranges away. I couldn't hold them all, so I have what is left of the bag in my hand, I take the orange, put it in the bag and Pandy grabs the bag. I get the bag away and out falls an orange, she grabs it and runs, I am trying to get the oranges away from Pain who is carrying two of them and I get one and she runs and she is FAST. I couldn't catch her. I finally gave up after my somewhat hilarious workout and sat on the porch, they both look at me, like come on, you are giving up that quickly. Ok, we will bring the oranges to you, I know you are going to throw them for us. So, that is exactly what I did, we played ball with what was left of the oranges and then, I went to the store, yes to bought more oranges. Which went into the cabinet, not on the counter.
Until next week, have fun with your furry children!
February 1,, 2012 Our life of living with Many German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois has been very busy over the last month, we have to do better with what is suppose to be a weekly update.
Cooper our Belgian Malinois had her puppies on Tuesday the 31st of January, she had nine beautiful little pups all of which are healthy and strong, they are very richly pigmented with rich mahogany colors. She had 6 females and 3 males. There are new pictures on the available puppy page. We have two litters of German Shepherd puppies due in Feb. Phoenix has been bred to Thorn and Nissa has been bred to Thorn as well, Phoenix's litter is due around the 4th of Feb. and Nissa is due around the 26th. This is the 4th breeding of both litters and the previous litters turned out very nice. There are pictures of the previous litters on the upcoming litters page.
Our training has been somewhat hampered due to the rain, but the dogs in training are coming along nicely. We are working with several dogs for PSA titles in the spring. Pictures will be posted later this week or on next weeks update.
December 29, 2011 Well this is a little better only 9 days this time. Our life of living with German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois is very busy to say the least.
Our funny story for this week is about our new German shepherd puppy Saphira, she has discovered that she loves peanut butter, so while I was cooking Christmas dinner she stole the jar of peanut butter from the counter, I hear this commotion in the living room, something banging against the wall. I go to see what was making all of the racket. Well, Saphira has the peanut butter jar stuck on her head. Too bad my camera was not charged and my phone was downstairs, it was the funniest thing I have seen lately. Then of course there is Pandy, our new Belgian Malinois puppy who even though quite small has figured out how to get into the 50 gallon garbage can, where we store the dog food, when she is hungry. Brian did get a picture of this. She is one high drive little girl if she wants something she goes after it. She hooks her little legs on the side of the can and pulls herself into it and then when she is finished, she just jumps back out. You have got to love the Malinois breed.
We did an ultrasound on Cooper this week, she is confirmed pregnant, so we will be having a litter of Belgian Malinois puppies in Feb. She is due around the 3rd.
From the Chattanooga times free press:
Over the last decade, the Malinois has surpassed the German shepherd as top dog for law enforcement, according to Meeks."Malinois have fewer health conditions and they are somewhat smaller," he said. "They have got great noses."
We also did an ultrasound on Phoenix and she is also confirmed pregnant, so yes another litter of German Shepherd puppies as well, She is due around the 6th of Feb. I am going to have a fun weekend in Feb.
Nissa has been bred to Thorn and she should be due around the 26th of Feb. We will confirm her pregnancy in a couple of weeks.
We will resume training this weekend, so updates will be coming on that next week and new pictures will posted to our club Facebook page as well, Camelot K9.
Don't forget to check out the webcam to see Guinevere's puppies they are 3 weeks old now and doing great, very cute pups and doing amazing things. I have been amazed at the early milestones they have reached, the cross between German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois has produced some amazing pups.
December 20, 2011
Again, this should say the month in the life of living with German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, It stays pretty busy here.
So many things have happened, I was interviewed my WRCB Channel 3, they were needing someone to explain how cadaver dogs work. Here is the interview. I recorded it from my tv, so you can here my dogs in the background.
We currently have two litters of German Shepherd puppies that will be born in January and February. We also have a litter of Belgian Malinois puppies that are due to be born the early part of February. Our new Belgian Malinois Pandora arrived this past week from Florida, she is a nice female, bred from the same working lines that are in Pain's pedigree. She will hopefully be a future competitor and breeding female. She is Brian's new prodigy. watch out Cooper, you have some competition. Our new little German Shepherd puppy Saphira is doing really well, she is a Bella and Blitz daughter and has a ton of drive, pictures are coming soon. We are doing as much training right now as the weather will allow, I am really sick of the rain!! German Shepherds really love playing in the rain and mud. Cleaning a lot right now. Guin's little shepnois puppies are doing great growing like weeds and already eating hard food. The shepnois is a cross between a German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois. You get the high drive of the Belgian Malinois and the calm, level headedness of the German Shepherd. We have high hopes for this litter.
November 30, 2011,
Well this should say the month in the life of living with German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, we are little behind on our weekly update, it has been a crazy month.
I am only going to post one funny story that really stands out in my mind, but there are several that I will post later. This would be fun with Marshmallows. Our dog training club, Camelot K9, has been meeting on Friday evening up until recently, well as you know the weather has been getting colder and we built a fire, of course roasted marshmallows came into the picture. So, I put the marshmallows away, well on the counter, first mistake, second mistake was letting the dogs into the kitchen, Morgan gets on the counter, steels the marshmallows, but is of course nice enough to share. I walk into the living room to a house full of German Shepherds munching on marshmallows, and I say munching literally, because they were having a devil of time getting the marshmallows out of their teeth, you can just see them, chewing and chewing and chewing of course Phoenix's eyes are rolled back in her head, because that is what she does when she is in heaven. At that point, I just stood there and let them finish the bag. It was too funny to take them away.
Bella's and Felony's puppies have gone to their new homes. They have some really cute names and are all doing well, Jax is in Cookeville, Tennessee, Zeka is in Stone Mountain, Georgia, Porsche is in Hixson, Tennessee, Cody is in Newport Tennessee, Alcina is in Ringgold Georgia, Marcy is in Sparta, Tennessee, Zues is in Trussville, Alabama, Eva is in Alpheretta, Georgia, Mojo is in Madisonville, Tennessee.
Cooper has been bred to Steel, their puppies are due around the 29th of January, yea, more Belgian Malinois puppies, so much fun to raise, very, very busy. but so smart and playful. This is Cooper and Steel's third litter and they are producing some amazing pups.
Brian is getting a new Malinois puppy for Christmas, shh nobody tell him. Ha, Ha, no he knows. She is a nice pup and will be here in a couple of weeks. Her name is going to be Pandora to go along with Prada and Pain, the three P's.
Guin's litter is due the 8th of December, so it is going to be getting very busy here, she is bred to Merlin our KNVP stud from Holland. This is a cross litter, that we have had a lot of request for. These pups should be phenomenal! The temperament of the German Shepherd and the drive of the Belgian Malinois.
