Free Initial Evaluation

Before beginning any obedience training at Camelot Kennel, your dog will be evaluated by our certified professional trainer. This pre-enrollment evaluation of your dog will enable us to determine his/her personality type, aptitude, social development, and behavioral patterns and problems. This evaluation will also allow our trainer to determine what your goals are for your dog. From this information our certified trainer will be able to recommend the best training approach and whether you and your dog would best benefit from private lessons or a residency training program. With either approach, your dog’s training curriculum will be designed around your individual dog and your goals.

Meet the Trainer

Hi, my name is Angie, I grew up with a love for dogs, from the time I was very small I always had a dog attached to my hip. When I was young I loved to train and teach the dogs tricks. I actually wanted to be veterinarian when I was growing up, but life does throw us curve balls. I had my son in 1984, who is severely handicapped. I went back to college in 1992 and graduated Manga cum laude with a degree in Computer Science. I never lost my love for dogs or my awe at what they are capable of doing. I started in search of a dog that would be a companion to both myself and my son. We found Lancelot and the journey began. I founded Camelot German Shepherds in 2003 and have been involved in dog sport and training since 2005. I trained and titled my first two dogs to compete in 2005. I was essentially self taught and worked with many trainers and attended seminars and read everything I could about dog training. I trained all of my own dogs and was very successful with it. As you can see from the list of accomplishments below. I decided to branch out and started training other dogs as an addition to the breeding program. I really love training and found it very rewarding. I built a training and boarding facility in 2013, attended National K9 Academy in 2014 and earned my Master Trainer Certification. I earned all 12 endorsements which include: Breed Identification, Basic Obedience, Advanced Obedience, Behavior Modification, Puppy Development, Scent Detection, Retrieval. Tracking, Utility, Assistance dog, Personal Protection and Police K9.
